July 2024 – Stefano Maurri from Florence Italy has been listening to Radio 078 Synth for a while. He is an electronics technician (now retired) and out of passion he has been building analog synthesizers for more than 30 years and doesn’t call himself a composer or a performer. But as an electronic music enthusiast he has composed and played various songs, mainly used for soundtracks.

Especially For Radio078 Synth he made available 8 composed and recorded tracks between 1994 and 2023. The equipment used includes a modular synthesizer he built, as well as Korg M1, Yamaha TG33, with PC, Midi Controller, SoudFont, VST etc. etc. These tracks will be added to the Synth non-stop!

RADIO 078 SYNTH – A tribute to Hans Prisma

October 2022 – Starting this week, Radio 078 Synth will play an old historical show of The Superclean Dream Machine every Sunday. The program that was made for years by our unfortunately deceased colleague DJ Hans Prisma for Radio 078. The music database of 078 Synth will also be expanded in the coming period with tens of thousands of tracks from Hans’ enormous collection. All this as a tribute to Hans and also to his still loyal listeners.

Some time after Radio 078 started in 2013, radio icon Hans Prisma joined in to play and promote his beloved electronic and synthesizer music, as he did years before on the FM stations of that time. He built up a loyal fan base worldwide who immediately rang the bell if a Hans show didn’t start on time or if they heard that last week’s show was starting again instead of a new episode due to a technical problem. This indicates that Hans and his choice of music were and still are very much appreciated.

Hans lost the battle with pancreas cancer but stayed positive till the last moment and continued making his radio show as long as possible.
